Generally I hate studio with a passion. It’s time consuming, it is constructed, it requires model direction which I’m awful at. I did however enjoy working with large format a lot. Knowing you only got maybe 4 shots slows you down to a crawl and allows you to think about what exactly you want to scene to look. Getting the 4×5 negatives back was amazing. They looked so clear and detailed. I would like to work with large format again but I’m too busy to try it again this term. The original was a 300mb .tiff and I compressed to a 500k jpeg. Below the image is an example of the amazing detail. The model was my classmate Kristina.
